Petrograd District Court in Saint Petersburg has placed entrepreneur Grigory Kuniс under arrest, who is one of the co-founders of the delivery service igooods. This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of the city. Kuniс is suspected of "financing extremist activity" (part 1 of article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the investigation, in early February 2022, he transferred 3,500 rubles to the organization "Fund for the Fight Against Corruption," which is recognized in Russia as a "foreign agent" and "extremist" and is banned. Official charges against the businessman have not yet been presented.
According to "Fontanka," a criminal case was initiated in April 2025 — initially against an unidentified person. Grigory Kuniс was detained on July 24. The defense requested his release under house arrest, but the court decided to imprison the entrepreneur.
Kuniс co-founded igooods in 2015 with his brother Dmitry. According to the service "Kontur.Focus," Dmitry Kunis owns more than 60% in the companies "Aigoods Systems" and "Aigoods.ru." In 2022, according to Grigory Kuniс, the turnover of igooods amounted to 4 billion rubles.
In mid-July, the Presnensky District Court of Moscow sentenced Moscow resident Dmitry Marsov to three years in a penal colony. He was accused of financing "extremist activity" for donating 1,500 rubles to the FBK in 2021. During the judicial proceedings, the man explained that he supported the FBK for "the idea of fighting corruption," not knowing about the fund’s recognition as "extremist."
Recently, the prosecution demanded to fine Sergey Abramov, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 450,000 rubles, accusing him also of transferring funds to the FBK. Abramov denies his involvement and claims that he did not conduct these transfers, and according to him, the case materials do not contain evidence to the contrary.
